Goals, Wednesdays, and Pain

It’s 6:30 a.m. and I haven’t had nearly enough coffee yet. That’s pretty much usual at this point. I’ve been setting my alarm for 6:00 lately in an effort to keep my schedule consistent and give me more time in the morning. It’s mostly working on both fronts but I’m pretty useless until 7:00.

Like, right now, it’s taking me about a minute to write every sentence. Sometimes I’m making up new words and new grammatical structures. Other times I’m writing for a little bit when I realize that my brain ran out of words half a sentence earlier and I have to delete a bunch of gibberish.

Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get used to it at some point.

So, goals. Oddly enough, I’ve fetched up exactly as I was on Sunday. And for pretty much the same reason. I nailed everything apart from exercise and working on this site–and my back was once again to blame for the failure to meet them.

One day I feel like I’m on the mend, the next day I’m proven wrong. Not a very happy situation when you get right down to it, but I’m coping. I have an appointment for a physical on Monday and if my back is still giving me grief I’ll bring it up then.

Other than more of the same, the only news I have to report is that today marks the last Wednesday I’ll have two appointments back to back. Next week I’ll be down to one. For those of you following along at home, Wednesday’s been an asshole for a few weeks so this scaling back is great news.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go raid the coffee pot.
