About Jeff

Look at my beard, my beard is amazing.

My name is Jeff Clough. I was born in 1977 and have lived in New Hampshire all of my life. I have a wonderful daughter named Alex who, it turns out, is my favorite person in the entire world. That’s pretty lucky when you think about it.

Apart from writing, I have been a teacher, computer programmer, web site designer, delivery driver, worked for a chemical manufacturer and spent some time as a locksmith. My hobbies include fly fishing and amateur radio, although I haven’t had much time for either of these lately. I am also an avid reader with a particular interest in horror, dark fantasy and paranormal suspense. A lot of the books I read now are self-published or could otherwise be described as indie books. I write book reviews for many of the novels I read.

Several years ago I was diagnosed with a mental illness. To put it mildly, my condition has affected nearly every aspect of my life. Although I like to think of myself as mostly functional, most of the time, the reality is that I have good days and bad days. Sometimes these “days” turn into weeks.

I spend a lot of my time in front of the computer. I’m also a smoker and drink too much coffee. I’d like to stop with the smoking but they’ll get my coffee cup when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Feel free to send me email at jeff@maynedon.com, although I can’t guarantee you’ll get a response. Also, I tend to twitter, which may interest you.
